★ Is Salman Khan fed up with ‘stardom’?
August 12, 2012 - Salman Khan is relentlessly promoting his upcoming film Ek Tha Tiger and the media and fans are lapping up his honest and straight from the heart replies to professional as well as personal questions.
Speaking to a TV channel during his recent visit to Lucknow, Salman opened his heart out on how difficult it is for him to cope up with his superstar status and massive fan following.
“These days its work to home and home to work. It feels like a house arrest. Its not only me but all of us (stars).”
“Those times are gone when you could go out freely for dining out, theaters or a health club. Its all come to an end now.”
“I have to stay at home after the shoot because wherever you go a big crowd gathers. If you go to see a film, then fans who have actually come to enjoy a film get hassled. If you go to a hospital to visit someone close then other patients are inconvenienced due to the followers crowding the area.”
He also shared how he deals with his anger.
“Sometimes I get so angry that I feel like crying. You can’t say anything to others or take out the anger on others and it gets very frustrating.”
Salman hates cheating and pretense.
“I hate cheating, lying, pretense, conning and adulteration. They harm us human beings. I can’t see poor people being cheated.”
Salman is Salman - he can never be far from his humorous self.
He said sometimes he feels like ending his life but then he rethinks because after all how many tigers are actually left in India? He then burst into laughter.
When asked why Katrina was not accompanying him, instead of giving a straight answer that she was walking the ramp for Manish Malhotra at the ongoing Delhi Couture Week, he replied:
“Katrina is in Delhi. She thought I will be able to handle the promotions for her. Now, I am going to Delhi.”
