Mumbai, Aug 13 (TruthDive): With only two days remaining before the release of the much awaited Salman Khan’s movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, the approximate figures of advance booking have already rose to 18 crores for the opening day.

The advance bookings for Ek Tha Tiger started a few days back and the response to the film is the best. Buoyed by audience demand, ticket prices have been raised 15-25%.

There are only 2 more days left for the film to release, and 50-60% shows are almost full. The response is tremendous. Many shows are looking to go completely run housefull.

The first weekend tickets for Ek Tha Tiger are almost booked. The remaining seats are fast filling and are expected to be sold out by tonight.

This surpasses all the previous records of advance bookings for movies like Shah Rukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om or Salman’s Bodyguard at the Indian box office. The advance booking response predicts the movie to be a sure blockbuster. The other challenge which Ek Tha Tiger has to meet is whether it will cross the 200 Crore barrier or not.

Ek Tha Tiger is said to be the one among the costliest films ever made under the Yash Raj Films (YRF) banner. It is made with a budget estimated at Rs.70-80 crore. Komal Nahta, trade analyst predicts the movie will make money back by the weekend.

The movie opening on over 3,000 screens worldwide, the Independence day and Eid holidays clubbed together and with higher ticket prices will definitely make the movie to arrive at Komal Nahta’s calculation.

The makers are obviously quite happy with the response. The director of the film, Kabir Khan tweeted “Just been talking to the Yashraj distribution people… the advance booking is moving at a blistering pace… Please get your tickets fast.”
