Ek Tha Tiger took an extraordinary opening in East Punjab. The opening is unprecedented and the rate it has opened is sure to cross 2.25 crore nett on day one and could even go to the unimaginable 2.50 crore nett mark. Bodyguard had collected 1.87 crore nett on its first day while Agneepath grossed 1.38 crore nett.
In Jalandhar a key station of the first day collections should be around 20 lakhs on day one as its opened to full houses and most shows are full for the day. Bodyguard with around 13 lakhs nett on day one is the highest first day collection in Jalandhar for a Hindi film. The expected day one collections from the theatres in Jalandhar are as follows.
