Kabir Khan’s much-hyped movie Ek Tha Tiger has started with a bang at the overseas Box Office on the first day of its release. The romantic-action thriller has done a wonderful collection beating all old records in USA, UAE, UK, New Zealand and Australia. It has almost broken the first weekend collection records including that of Salman Khan’s previous movie Dabangg at the international collection centres in just two days.
Ek Tha Tiger has also got wonderful opening at the USA Box Office. The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer has collected Rs 1.90 crores ($341,000) in the country in two days and collection of some screens is yet to be reported. Its break up is $209,000 on Wed and $132,000 on Thur. It has beaten all previous records in the country.
Ek Tha Tiger has received earth shattering response at the UAE Box Office. The movie has collected Rs 96.98 lakhs ($174,000) on Wednesday. Its business witnessed a little growth on the second with its collection crossing Rs 98.65 lakhs ($177,000) on Thursday. The movie has grossed Rs 1.95 crore ($351,000) in the country.
Salman-Katrina starrer has had very good start at the UK Box Office. Ek Tha Tiger has raked in Rs 85.23 lakhs (£97,457) on Wednesday. Its business saw nearly 50% dip with its second day earning reaching Rs 39.33 lakhs (£44,980) on Thursday. It has grossed a total of Rs 1.24 crore (£142,437) in two days.
Ek Tha Tiger has collected Rs 42.13 lakhs (A$72,545) on Wednesday and Rs 23.55 lakhs (A$40,559) on Thursday at the Australia Box Office. Its two days’ total collection Rs 65.69 lakhs (A$113,104) is better than the first weekend collection of Dabangg (Rs 54.56 lakhs ($1,26,000)). It has collected Rs 10.40 lakhs (NZ$ 23,139) at the New Zealand Box Office on Thursday.
However, Ek Tha Tiger has collected a total of Rs 5.86 crores ($1,052,103) at the international Box Office in two days. Its two days collection in domestic market is Rs 47.43 crore nett. The movie has scored Rs 53.29 crores at the worldwide Box Office in two days. With this, it has shattered previous records both in India and international market.
