Salman Khan looked as formal as he can ever look suited in all black at the launch of Bigg Boss Season 6 at Hotel Trident at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai on Sunday, September 16.
He wore a slim fit suit, silk shirt and dress shoes - all in black, sported a stubble, had his hair jelled back, and rounded the look with hoop earrings to signal fans not to take his formal attire too seriously.
The 46-year-old actor returns as host of Bigg Boss for the season for the third time, determined to make the reality TV show a family favorite. He is reported to have leaned on the show producers to rid it of vulgarity and abusive language, allowing it to be aired at 9 PM, a family friendly slot.
The show premiers Sunday, October 7 and will air on all seven days of the week at 9pm.
Looking hearty and cheerful, Salman regaled the press with his trademark wit while answering questions about the show. Asked if he would consider entering the house for the sake of his female fans who would love to see him in the swimming pool, Salman was quick to reply, “Main Salman hoon, Sunny Leone nahi.”
During the event Salman introduced a parrot named after his screen character name Radhe in Tere Naam (2003). Radhe will keep young viewers of the show amused. There is also a fish that will be part of the show.
Other tweaks include inclusion of non celebrity contestants and more entertaining games and tasks for house guests.
It’s all about connections, but not the political, bureaucratic or police kind that people tend to cultivate in this country where the rule of the law rarely prevails! Salman has a humongous fan base because he makes an effort to connect with his fans, something the other Khans don’t do so well.
