MUMBAI: Beverage major Coca- Cola India announced that it had signed megastar Salman Khan as the brand ambassador for Thums Up.
Thums Up is one of the country’s largest selling soft drink, with an enduring charisma, much like Salman Khan - the original thunder star, a company statement said.
The company has also signed an agreement with Being Human - The Salman Khan Foundation, to jointly promote, conceive and execute charitable and social activities. The partnership with Being Human takes forward the vision of both organizations of ensuring the sustainability of communities and their welfare.
Announcing the association, Atul Singh President & CEO Coca-Cola India and South West Asia, said: “Salman’s appeal cuts across age groups and socio economic strata, just like Thums Up. The brand’s core values of masculinity, adventure, thrill and excitement will further be amplified by Salman’s association and will help us take the brand to the next level. We are excited by the prospects that lie ahead for the brand and our partnership with Salman.”
On being appointed as the Thums Up brand ambassador, Salman Khan, said, “I look forward to this partnership with Thums Up, a soft drink that I have grown up with. I am also excited at the association between Being Human and Coca-Cola India, where the two organizations will work together on community welfare projects.”
As Thums Up’s brand ambassador, Salman Khan will be associated with a range of consumer activation and marketing programmes, helping build brand love and enrich the brand experience. On the community front, Salman Khan and Being Human will work with the company in promoting career development centres, school education programmes and other programmes jointly conceived by the two parties.
