Salman Khan at the moment is on the best run that a leading male actor has ever seen. His last five films have a combined total close to the 1200 crore gross mark worldwide.
It is the first time that an actor has given five blockbusters in a row although it must also be said that it is easier today to give bigger hits as business is all about initial week so star power takes a film a long way where as 20 years ago films had to run for twenty five weeks to be blockbusters and 40 years ago it was a fifty week run that made a film a blockbuster.
The worldwide GROSS figures of Salman Khan’s last five films are as follows.
Dabanng 2 - 250 crore
Ek Tha Tiger - 310 crore

Arbaaz Khan will appear before the National Commission For Women today.
A letter dated April 30 was sent to him after he didn’t respond to a complaint against him for the song Fevicol Se in Dabangg 2, immediately after the release of the film in February.
This complaint was made by an Etawah-based advocate, who said that the phrase ‘laundiya patayenge missed call se’ shows women in a bad light.
According to NCW member Nirmala Samant Prabhawalkar, “Arbaaz’s lawyers had appeared before the commission in February and sought time to file a reply to the complaint, but till date, we haven’t heard from them. We have sent a notice to him to appear in person to explain his stand on this issue.”

Producer Ekta Kapoor believes that Dabangg 2 item number Fevicol se was criticised unnecessarily because the film had a very progressive approach towards women.
“I appreciate Salman and Arbaaz for their progressive thinking and incorporating the same in the film. Arbaaz very well utilised Salman’s stardom to highlight the responsibilities a man towards his wife and society. There were four scenes in the film that really took me by surprise,” Ekta said.
